Academics have taken a steep turn towards the road of art and creativity. Nowadays, it is not only about the numbers or grades you achieve but also about the extra-curricular activities you take part in.
Unlike the earlier days when there were fewer options to take part in like a speech or a debate competition, these days kids have various activities to take part in. No, I am not talking about boring Olympiads or a regular sports day.
Today, children engage in creating crafts out of waste material, fabric painting, glass painting, art and craft competitions, mehendi competitions and more.
One of the super fun activity for kids includes Rakhi making. A DIY (Do It Yourself) project is making Rakhis or friendship bands as a fun activity for children.
This super fun activity needs beads, sparkles, ribbon, a pair of scissors, some glue, flowers, shells, thread and some other things that you would like to add on your band or rakhi.
It is advised that scissors and thread, needles should be used by a guide or a parent or should be used under the supervision of an adult. You can add or stick your beads, flowers, leaves, and shells on the ribbon by creating a wholesome design.
You can use a needle to insert beads in thread one by one to create a band or a bracelet rather than glueing them together and tying them to a knot to enclose it thus creating either a rakhi or a band.
